I'm sure the answer is on the wiki but I'd appreciate it if someone could share their views. When do you hit the limit? Is it unlimited? Can I work on all stats indefinitely until a certain stat limit is reached?
-
the stat caps are defined in the xcom1ruleset.rul
-
I guess you can always improve on any stat if you don't hit the cap eh?
-
yes, as far as i know they are independent of each other, as such if the ruleset says all stats can be 200 then you can keep on working until all you stats are 200 or you can modify the ruleset and make them all 300 or 1 million and then work on the game for ever :D although i expect Warboy to have put some time of restriction :)
-
restriction is approximately, 2,147,483,647, possibly higher on 64 bit machines.
bravery caps out at 110, (110 means totally immune). not sure if higher values will cause issues, or just have no additional effect whatsoever.
-
Surpassing the limit would mean splicing animal genes into your units. That's optional.
-
No more bugs right? time unit limit of 80 in openxcom right?
-
no? it's defined in the ruleset file, like i said. if you change the TU stat cap to 5 hundred thousand, that will work just fine.
-
I don't need to make any changes to the 0.9 version right? its standard limits by default?
In this game, its fun to train up your elite core of soldiers....
-
correct, it's standard by default, you can see them here (https://github.com/SupSuper/OpenXcom/blob/master/bin/data/Ruleset/Xcom1Ruleset.rul#L4368), or in your local copy.
ps: i highly recommend using the nightly builds.
