Title: BOXCE for Windows XP
Post by: hth on September 17, 2024, 04:05:48 pm
I have created a successful Windows XP 32-bit build using mxe.
Thank you very much!

By the chance, do you have xPiratez and BrutalAI builds for this good old OS?

Do you have links to them? I could have a look

XPiratez actually don't have code modifications, it was only my misjudgment by seeing of OXCE exe inside archive.

wait, people still run the game on WinXP? Serious question, as I'm working on something that would definitely not work on XP.

There is a reason why I put quite some extra effort to get it to 64Bit.
32 bit was fine for the base-game and smaller mods. But behemoths like WH40k-mod pushed it to the limits and over.
I'm not sure XPZ is also at risk of exceeding the memory-limitations of 32 bit but it's quite possible.
