Title: Transformation without loss of psi training
Post by: Kronos913 on July 13, 2024, 09:03:10 pm
How to transform a soldier without losing psi training for the current month?

And is it possible to somehow make sure that a soldier has a built-in “special” weapon only after reaching a certain rank?

Not sure the first can be done, short of using 'psi training at any time'.

As to the second, Meridian's answer (https://openxcom.org/forum/index.php?topic=11146.msg154548#msg154548) should cover your options.

This can't be done, AFAIK. Also, soldiers that get "wounded" by transformations get kicked out of PSI training (but you can put them back in manually, not sure how this affects the progress of training).

I've made a suggestion that, if implemented, could probably allow vanilla and/or modders more choices with this respect. No comments so far:
