Title: [DONE][Suggestion] Add Option to Randomize Country Infiltration Order
Post by: fatredbird2 on July 05, 2024, 04:01:28 pm
Basically what it says in the title. As it stands right now, when the aliens run an infiltration mission in a region, they always seem to take over the same country (e.g. an infiltration in Europe always targets UK first, US for North America, China for Southeast Asia). While I cannot state with certainty that the order is fixed, I tested this recently by setting the first alien mission in a campaign to an infiltration; the aliens invariably infiltrated the same country in each region tested, each save I tested on. Adding an option to randomize this makes it harder to predict the aliens' actions, increasing replayability and strategic difficulty. Thanks in advance for your time.

yes and no.

it's the order from the ruleset file, you can change it but you need to make a mod to do that.

the suggestion sounds good, todolisted.

Done.

Global parameter called `infiltrateRandomCountryInTheRegion`

Example:

Code: [Select]
infiltrateRandomCountryInTheRegion: true
