Hello

So I was reading some posts here on the forum and I came across "Spartanism", which according to many users is the best transformation for your soldiers.

But the thing is I am fairly advanced in the game and I never saw any Spartanism anywhere. I can already research "Cydonia or Bust", which if I'm not mistaken is the final mission, and yet none of my troops can get Spartanism. Is this normal? Has it been removed or something?

From what I can read in the docs I'm supposed to get a misterious package from the Syndicate. I've had many dealings with them but no package has arrived.

I do have Psyonic Labs and lots of soldiers with high psy skills, so I should see that transformation, right?

Please help. I need Spartanism!

You get it once you finish the syndicate arc. Your post does not indicate whether you have done it or not. You get the parcel after dealing with the syndicate HQ and decrypting the testament with Schutzstaffeln Ring. When the percel has arrived (it's a trigger that has a chance of occuring once a month), you need to decrypt it. Maybe you need to check the tech tree viewer to see what you're missing.

Thanks for the replies. I think I did finish the Syndicate arc, or at least I seem to remember a tough mission that said something about the Syndicate HQ.

You've somehow researched the Syndicate package without getting Spartanism. Most likely due to continuing an older save with the package already researched, or similar. Possibly because of some bug in an intermediade version of XCF.

You can just remove the parcel research from your save, re-add a parcel item and research it. Fixed save attached.

Thanks. After a few edits I was able to get Spartanism. Already trying it on a poor "volunteer"!  ;D

Hi people  :)

So I started a new game some time ago and I think this bug is back. I've already completed the Syndicate arch, or at least I did the HQ mission and got the ring and the "final message" thingy, but no package has arrived, like ever.

So again I cannot get "Spartanism" for my troops.

Is the package still due to arrive?

Have you not heard of DOGE? Your parcel is being delivered, but the mail service has been made more efficient so, you know, the wait times... :P

What? Jokes aside, is the parcel delivery still gonna happen? I think it's been some time since I got the Syndicate's "final message"  :P

You had Syndicate HQ in December 1999. The delivery will happen on January 27th 2000. So this is the earliest it can happen.

Well, I didn't want to open another topic or simply add another item without much value to the MOD updates topic. If this is an inappropriate place, please let me know.

I'm already quite advanced in the game, and I've already built a Hyper-wave Decoder installation, having, of course, passed the prerequisites for it.

As far as I understand, this should make more combat missions to alien bases available, but it's taking a while.

I'll put a savegame here, can you analyze it and tell me what's missing?

Hyper-wave decoder is irrelevant to alien bases, it just allows to discern what mission UFO (limited by decoder-in-base radius).

You can fight alien base when one is randomly constructed.

If you're looking into getting to endgame, it starts with interrogation of a lot of aliens (getting Alien Vocabulary), and MiB commander, which can be found in e.g. MiB strike ship / MAGMA reactor attack missions.

Yes, I'm heading to EndGame. I already have Alien Vocabulary, interrogated the MIB Commander, fought the MIB base on the moon, and the satellite where I collected and investigated the Alien Brain. What's left?

Edit: I must admit I didn't help myself here either. I already installed the Lunar Control Room, not the Hyper-wave decoder !

The next is

Research (on the base with Lunar Control Room) stuff up to Lunar Satellite Launch \ Observation. After this, next month is moon outpost and somewhat linear chain of battle / capture unknown Ethereal / research new battle / battle... up to Cydonia, where you board Avenger, and button "go to Cydonia" appears (like in original, not mission site).
