Is it true that explosion delivers 4 damages to large unit? Like a grenade under the tank would deliver 4 times more damage comparing to the small unit?

this have noting with OXCE, this is all original behavior, for question like this search https://www.ufopaedia.org/index.php/X-COM

Nothing there, unfortunately, but thanks.

Something is there, but buried under all the other information. For instance, the Cyberdisc (https://www.ufopaedia.org/index.php/Cyberdisc) entry does mention their susceptibility to explosives.
-
Aha. Here is it.
Because of its large size, Cyberdiscs take roughly quadruple damage from explosive weapons; rather, they take damage once for every segment caught in the blast.
I understand this is vanilla mechanics and this begs another question. Is it just lazy programming or something is in it? Should OXC/OXCE fix this to be affected just once from blast damage?
-
lazy programing would be if Cyberdisc get 8 time damage in some cases, OXCE deliberately handle that only up to 4 times 2x2 big units can be hit by blast.
Beside if only one part of unit is exposed then unit get same damage as 1x1 unit.
I do not see problems with this logic as big units have bigger surface that can be affected by blast wave.
