Capt'n's log - Dec 25, 2600

T'day, the crew stopped on an island in da Middle Sea. Good place as any fer an XMas dip! and not too many eyes to ogle the swimmers. Mad Marg'ret went in a cave and came back yelling 'bout something. What a find! Whole cave full of stuff in there! Big elevator at the front, then a hangar with the sleeping beauty in there, armed to the teeth! We're retiring the ol' boats and taking to the air. Brainer's callin' it the Bonaventura, for good luck or somethin'. Like we've gotten any luck on this rotten world... Until t'day! Bunch of bunks on the other side, and rooms full of stuff. At least we'll be comfy and we've got enough guns to throw out whoever comes knocking.. maybe.

Capt'n's log - Jan 1st, 2601


Stuff is going good! We got a bunch of places agreed they'll pay us to keep an eye on 'em, and the girls are getting used to this place. Harpy's Nest, it's been called now. That's us, gals stealing from those who have too much and taking care of our own.

The runts are trying to make stuff, they're telling me it's packing a punch but we'll see if it gets 'em sick.. Extra-Grog or something, they're callin' it, the gals just say X-Grog. One's good with numbers, we're supposed to make 5.3K from a barrel. Not sure who she got the price from, but that's not too bad. Crank 'em out runts! We need the money! Got some brainy ones looking at how we could make more of 'em guns. Never too many guns..!

Some of the gals are really takin' to this flying and gunning. Think it's time to shoot something down and get some real loot. I heard some saying they'll make themselves a new name in the business. New names.. what's that gonna be eh?

Arh..! This flyin' pirate life ain't easy. Got a blip on the radar over the Blackmarch, but the Bonny's too slow for those tiny ones. Had the gals all ready to go with their bats and flintlocks. Next one's a dead one!

Capt'n's Log - Jan 4th, 2601

No flippin' shippin' sight now that we scared off that wimp. But things are looking up.

We've got our weaponmaster already, she's good with a cutlass. Lithe and lightning fast. Cutlass Jo they call her, quite the name! Ain't an easy job to train the others though, they're gonna stick to the ball bats for a while.

And that strappin', sturdy gal, err.. damn it! Too much grog, can't remember her name.. Iva? nah.. AH! Haha! Crazy Iva! I wonder what she'd think if I called her that. Could fit for a gal who carry a cannon around like is nothin'. Too bad she ain't that quick moving outta da way, she's pretty good for hittin' a target with a sword too. Won't go up close for now, maybe later.

Back to now, the runts' booze is tasty, I should get som'more, but it's fetching some good cash too.. and we've got some real gunz ship'd in. Some dakka spewin' SMGs, two roasty flamethrowers and a few hunting rifles for those who see straight!

Of course, that's when the brainerz come up with how we could make our own flintlocks, but them black market gunz are better. And they said they had an idea for some gun made from clocks!? Told 'em to keep focused. We need some simple practical stuff, more basic, more applicable. Might be primitive, but if it's worked for hundreds of years, that's a good sign it's still gonna work! At least they got the recipe for bombs right, this time! We gonna blow some stuff up!

I wonder if any other gal is gonna get a name before we see some other shippin'..?

Capt'n's Log - Jan 5th, 2601

So I said yesterday, so it has happened today! Stuff got blown up and we got some good booty. With all 12 gals on hand crewin' the 3 weapon pods, we managed to get that small ship down. Accuracy was pretty poor, no big hit. Was just enough to get 'em on the ground. Deployment was a bit of a miss too, but it's the gals' first. Gotta remember to let the scouts out the back of the ship too, not just the center well. That worked out anyways.

Scouts out, no sign of anyone. First markswomam out, BAM, grenade straight in the top hatch. No wounded! No need to shave for the next week either though. Gals return fire and blow up the roof under 'im. He's got a pretty dirty mouth, that ain't the pure part for sure. Already got gals busting in from the ground floor, they'll clean that up. Time to get the smoke screen goin' in front of the craft and get into action.

Here's that security guard, going for the field! He ran out and away! But not fast enough to escape an assault cannonball from that crazy gal, Iva. Crazy Iva! Who can lug a cannon around, stand up to the recoil and aim it well enough to catch a dude running!

No other movement until Bolt Gun glances something in a barn takes a shot, hit and.. nothing?! Lame! First one out their ship gets roasted. Nice little fire keeping 'em in while we setup for the breach. Now let's give 'em an incentive to get out.

And while one gal tanks a faceful of birdshot from a combat shotgun, "breacher" Cutlass Jo puts both a security guard and an academician to the cutlass as they try to step out of their craft. If not on the attack, get 'em on the defense! We'll breach another day..

One ball bat hit to that egghead and unfortunately it cracks. Nobody to drag screaming back to the lair, but barely a wounded too. Nothin' a few days in the infirmary won't fix. Picked up a bunch of apples from the orchard when cleanin' up because.. why not? *CRUNCH munch munch*

Got some names sticking too already. Crazy Iva.. That flamethrower gal, "die! Die! DIE!" as she burns everything inside. "Die-Anna", haha! Good things people melt before computer and engines.. Next time she gotta use that handle and bring one back raw! We'll cook 'em at the base and hear them sing.

That other one with the boarding gun, oh she wasn't happy her shot didn't kill. Firing like a madwoman at the target in the hangar now. First outta da craft, first one gunnin' 'em down next time I bet. Bolt and gun. Bolt Gun!

And that lovely girl. Always pleasant, even with a blunderbuss aimed right at ya! Such a charming grin when greating folks, that gal. And a great trigger finger!

Capt'n's log - Jan 6th, 2016

Well, sold a few guns, kept a few guns. Grenade launcher for the tough guys, harpoon gun for the wimpy ones, and a Blackmarch SMG for those in between. Got a buyer for one of the slave AIs and spent the cash on some more ammo and two suits of body armor to keep our best fighters fightin'. Man those things are expensive.. and when I say "body armor", I mean it. No limb covered for that price.. Still, better than nothin'!

Talking about nothins: A brainer told me the runts can now make all kinds of pointy things for the gals now. I'm thinking a spear should be a good weapon for some. A stick with a pointy bit should be better than just a stick, no? But that freak 'ead knocked my bowl of apples down, yelled, grabbed one and ran away faster than I could shout at her. What a star..

Went down to talk to the gals, turns out we could use some X-bows in the mid-lines for covering fire, and even a bow! Got some runts making that. Work on the new barracks area is back on time after a few shouts. Apparently they didn't hear me last time. Lookin' back at the log, maybe I forgot.

Yay, first success!

Good point with the spear (no pun intended), it's a versatile weapon which deals much more damage than you'd expect from something that simple.
Another decision I really like is getting some bows. Effectively light artillery, they usually work best when deployed on the roof and used against lightly armoured guys anyway on the battlefield; they're also light, so you can also give an archer a secondary weapon set so that she can switch to breaching when she runs out of targets on open terrain. As for X-Bows, I think they're rather unremarkable, but at this stage you don't have many serious weapons, so at least they're not sticking out, and they never run out of ammo (just like bows).
As for the harpoons, I'm not impressed with them - they are inaccurate, slow and not really that strong. Of course they can use stun ammo, which may come in handy, but I prefer other means for that. Maybe you'll have more success with them.
A personal joy for me is giving my character a blunderbuss. This weapon looks pretty shaky on paper, but when you give it to a high accuracy gal it turns into a terrifying weapon. (Especially with explosive ammo, but that's for the future.) In my game, I'm in my second year and still using one blunderbuss; my specialist gal makes miracles with it on a regular basis.
Boarding guns are decent, reliable weapons, as long as you don't expect too much. They're not very accurate on long distances.
Flamer is a no-brainer really. Every team should have one.

If I were to offer some advice:
In addition to spears, it's also good to have at least one hammer - it one-hits almost everything, but requires a lot of both TUs and Stamina (and Strength too, but that's less important). Particularly Stamina - it's pointless to give it to an easily tired gal, especially when combined with heavy armour that decreases Stamina.
As for artillery, you have the light version (bows), but against there is also the heavy version: mortar. Yes, it's expensive and unwieldy (can only be fired every other turn), but man, it is devastating. It is even effective against power armours, though I wouldn't count on one-hitting them - even if it works sometimes.
Finally, I recommend putting up smoke cover in the first turn, always. It's cheaper to pay for 3 smoke grenades than losing gals. I normally drop one smoke grenade just in front of the stairs, one below the central shaft and one on the roof. The only situation when I don't is when there are enemies with strong weapons facing the open back of the Bonny - then I simply drop (not throw) one smoke grenade at my feet, smoking the entire craft.

Capt'n's log - Jan 8th, 2016

T'day I found out there's a brain behind that 'Rin. Happy with her 'buss but she been lookin' at all the weapons we got in the 'pedia and making plans. Got some good thoughts!

Bow for light artillery: check. Will be good on some of the weaker gals too, as a bow doesn't weight much.

X-Bows: The gun that just goes *twang*. Not great, but in the right hands, that bolt's more damaging than rifle hit! (30 + 10% accuracy = 36 in the hands of gals with 60 accuracy) Quick fire that's as accurate as most rifles, can aim twice even though you better not aim too far. Doesn't run out of shots. So far, better for midfield than the rifles we have, even though it lacks autofire.

Harpoons: Ah, yeah.. How can a modern gun that fires bolts be worse than an X-Bow? Why can't we just put those bolts in the X-bow, eh? I guess it needs more kick to make those smaller bolts stick. It's not great, no point in solid bolts, I agree, but it's good for bagging softies from a distance, or even wounded security guards. Then you bring 'em to the hideout and make 'em sing!

Boardin' Gunz: Well, we got a gal who needs the dakka! It packs some punch with decent snap shots for when you catch a glance of somethin' nasty moving around, and it's alright short if you go auto or decent for long range pot shots. She'll get an upgrade eventually, but for now it does the job. You and Bolt Gun are the cover fire, midfield gals.

Flamer: yeah! Who doesn't like a BBQ? Works great around valuable stuff too, since it doesn't fry computers.

Spears: Well.. didn't find a gal that had good melee and throwing.. But I'll keep lookin', especially with the new recruits comin' in.

Hammer: Yeah! Hammer's a must! Just missing the warhammer..!

Mortar: You nuts, gal? How much loot do you think we got?! No way we can afford that kind of stuff.. Yet! For now, Crazy Iva and her assault cannon is all the heavy artillery we need! Fires more often and does plenty of damage when it hits! But she'll eventually upgrade to somethin' else, for sure.

Smoke: You say that now, but when you spend a few minutes chokin' on it, you've got a different idea. No fun dealing with passed out gals. Maybe I'll ask the brainerz to come up with somethin'. They had an idea, I think..

Oh and.. I'm trying to live up to Black Beard's rep, but maybe I should aim for Davy Jones. I've got a pretty nice locker I could fill up with loot like he did.

Capt'n's log - Jan 9th, 2016

That brainer came back without any apple or apology today. Told me an apple was good for throwing at people without hurting them much, and that mashed apples could be fermented, but that they weren't much of a computer. Threw an apple at her for that last one, then she didn't agree with her own "not hurting much" idea.

I wonder why they ask for so much... Then I got a proposal for a fancy sounding castle.. FOCUS!! Those brainers... Sent them to look at bullets, at least with that we might get to hurt some people. They better come back with something useful!

Capt'n's log - Jan 12th, 2016

The runts came back with a bow. Nice looking but it took two of them 6 days to put some string on a branch? Got all the gals on making the X-bows, apparently it would've taken 10 days for the 2 of them to get one done. Probably could have just made some grog, sold it and bought a real gun..

Capt'n's log - Jan 16th, 2016

Runts got the X-bows done, now they're on the Bonny. Got 'em back to making grog. Skies are clear of shippin' over the whole world! Guess it wasn't that good a time of year to get started plunderin'.. Not a single tradin' ship sighted up in the air. Should have kept some boats.

Capt'n's log - Jan 17th, 2016

We inaugurated the new barracks t'day! Great party and convinced some of the locals to join us in exchange for some junk we had lying in here. I hope there wasn't anything important in those piles of junk... But having a full crew on the Bonny helps now, whatever that junk can do later..

Capt'n's log - Jan 20th, 2016

Brainerz got somethin' again! Now we can use the stuff here to make bullets! Not bad.. And they didn't come up with some new crazy thing to look into, so I told 'em to do some cleanup. That apple mash from a week and a half ago smells aweful now, fermentation experiment or not.

The locals we contacted last time finally made it here and they're taking residence. Look like fine additions to the crew! Time for a fight!!

PS. Since I'm at 21 gals currently (playing ahead a bit) and only 4 named ones, you guys can feel free to get another one in there if you want, say, a melee gal and a shooty one.

Also, feel free to "play" your comments ;) I'll will reply directly then, or I will probably keep responses in the log as above for direct comments.

Capt'n's log - Jan 21st, 2016

Dang it! One should be careful what they be wishin' for! Just picked up a distress beacon from Doom Harbor. Somethin's happening out there. No warnin' at all, not even a fly by. Wish we had some more explody stuff. Oh well.. Picking all we got and going in! May the Star Gods look the other way.

On the way, we get a lecture on Night Ops from Charming. Apparently, we gotta keep to the dark and not turn the lights on. Gals didn't quite get it though. When things are going wrong.. First gal outta da Bonny, 2 nutcases in sight. Aiming at and taunting the civvies inside. Bolt Gun bolts out and guns the first one down with a salvo from the boardin' gun! First Blood Harpies! Cutlass Jo rushes out the Bonny on the other side and takes the second one from behind. They never saw that comin'!

On the other side, similar mayhem ensues, as lots ot enemies are spotted. One down, two more to go! Rush to one and.. Outta breath?! Can't swing!! Ohoh!

Bolt Gun takes point and finds some pirate wannabe with a pistol and dagger. After we dedicate half the crew to killin' him, he's still standing. Cutlass Jo sets up around the corner to finish things if needed. He returns fire but luckily finds it about as hard to hit Bolt as she finds it to hit anything! Bolt returns fire and.. nope, no kill. This dude's got iron skin or somethin'. Die-Anna sets 'im on fire, the whole wall gets blown up next ta 'im but he still standing! 'til a rookie steps up with the harpoon gun and puts 'im ta sleep. Too bad he got cooked before we could get to him..

Trying to move forward, we stumble on another one. The gal's yelp of surprise summons Charming Rin, who blows a great big hole outta the girls, and an even bigger one outta da fence. Bit of a misapplication of power there, gal! But eh, better a dead un and wasted lead than a standin' one.

Meanwhile we find a poor dude being held up in his store. Bullets come our way but not as much as the shopkeep who bites it, almost before our own eyes.

Which prompts a rapid successing of "handle-ing". On the other side, a flanking attempt arond the house turns on 'em as Die-Anna whips out the handle and smashes two grunts in the face singlehandedly.

Making some progress in the shop district until they decide to rush in. First one through gets to be greated by Charming Rin. The other two freeze in place at the detonation, just long enough to be set on fire. And the last one trying another way is caught by Bolt Gun who calls in Crazy Iva when she sees another hit that fails to finish its target. Luckily, cannonballs aren't so forgiving.

Sweeps of the area find a few stragglers, and one last guy, who survives a black powder bomb by Cutlass Jo only to take cover inside, where he dodges the attacks of two gals before being brought done by Jo's heroic (completely madly reckless?) auto-firing with her SMG.

Victory!! But when we get home, the runts say no rum 'till we can fit all the stuff in. Couldn't they shove some more junk in a closet or somethin'?!

Da runtiez sold me a tall mirror so I can work on da strikin pose now. Should I hold da shooty with ma hip swayed on da side? Nah, too sexah. Imma gonna swing it over ma shoulda with a smoke, that'll show em who's da boss!

((Apologies to all for taking so long to post anything here.. Got too into the game and I neglected logging.. Now the log's back!))

Capt'n's log - Jan 21st, 2016 Cont'd

Visited the gals recovering from the fight and it doesn't look so bad. 11, 11 and 16 days until full recovery. Good thing we didn't face heavy guns. Really gotta get more armor. Apparently someone's sayin' we broke lots a stuff in that fight. Well, duh?! At least we saved some good people!

Went through what we got back from that fight. Bunch of nutcases callin' themselves Spartans. Took a brainer off her cleanin' duty to interrogate a scout. We'll see what we can find.

And some of the stuff they had looks.. interesting! Some kind of fancy rifle with a spyglass on top, somethin' the gals named a Spitfire, a weird RPG-like thing that fires HUGE darts instead of rockets, but most interesting: A pair of LONG-RANGE FLAMERS! The gals can't figure out how it works, so brainers will look into that one soon. Wish we could get some more of those gals, but the coffers are pretty empty...

Sold some stuff to hire extras and replace the wounded gals. Gotta keep the Bonny fully crewed! Gotta get Bolt Gun back in da firing range.. Good thing she's first in line for alerts!

Capt'n's log - Jan 24th, 2016

The extras came in, some great recruits! Lookin' forward to seeing them on the field.

Goin' through the gal's equipment. They've got stronger with the past few fights.

Die-Anna's getting faster and better with that flamer! But gotta make her exercise. Lean and mean, sure, but when all you can carry is a flamer and a handle, you need a bit of bulk...

Talking about bulk, Crazy Iva picked up the bow to go with her cannon. Rainin' death on the small and big game now!

Cutlass Jo picked up a cattle prod for bringing back some intact valuables.

Charming Rin's now stocked up on smoke grenades. She likes smoke? She'll get smoke!

And Bolt Gun's picked up some med supplies. Nice team playa!

Capt'n's log - Jan 29th, 2016

Brainerz finally finished cleanin' up their lab. It's almost tidy. They got some stuff off an old disc and now they want to get books and take us back to school! I dunno about that.. maybe when we've got some extra time. Runts can decrypt more of those disks we found.. not bad, but not for now.

Also broke that Spartan Scout! Gals have a hard life there.. bet we could give 'em a better life. Messed up mutant haterz! Too bad we couldn't convince her to join us. We'll keep askin' and see what else they've got to tell. This one told us about one of the fancy guns we got back. Snip'r rifle! Goes snip snip of the target's life thread. Now the brainerz don't need to dismantle the one specimen we got back, we can go straight to usin' it!

Told them to get back to work on three different things. Time to get something figured out to fight in smoke, try to make our guns better with some of that scope idea and figure out how to make that long range flamer thing work!

Capt'n's log - Jan 31st, 2016

HAHA! Got some other shippin' in our sight and shot it down. Time for the gals to shine again! Ugh.. or not.. Crashed that thing in a marsh. Gotta be more careful next time!

Security guard in sight! Crazy Iva steps on the roof, tries the bow and.. nope. Gust of wind and it's pushed into a tree. Bolt Gun tries, hits the same tree?! What's up with that tree!! Must be a mag-Tree. After a X-Bow miss, we finally get a huntin' rifle hit! but not enough.. Charming then gets out and deploys the smoke screen. If you can't him 'em, make sure they can't see you!

Arr! Turns out he could see us and took Charmin' down before she could greet 'im! Bugger! Cutlass Jo steps in and slashes 'im to bits! Well deserved!

Advancing through the marsh is a pain, litteraly, and another gal is hit on the way in. Throws a bomb to no immediate effect, so Die-Anna sets the whole bush on fire and gets 'im!

One last roamin' academician hides in the bushes, evading everybody's shots. Bolt Gun and Crazy Iva flush her by raining lead and arrows everywhere and she gets shot as she steps out. Too bad. Capt'n's log - Feb 1st, 2601

Well.. got the cash from the people we've been protectin' t'day and.. No great news. They say security training increased (upped difficulty from 3 to 4). Time to live up to Davey Jones' rep and fill the locker! We ain't got as much as I was hoping for.. No building vaults or hangars soon, no hiring brainerz either. Got a few runts comin' in though. Hopefully they can make more booze to sell.. Got some chemicals delivered in too. Da runtz are takin' a break from booze and making some more dakka for Bolt Gun. Trigger happy..? Ya, but a good trigger finger gets the job done!

Found a bug in the data logger. Couldn't see the previous logs, it thought they were from 2016... What's that? The age of the dinosaurs?!

Runts got a bit of cleanin' done around the hideout, turned on some automated gun in the vault and found a new spike launcher and som' rockets. They say it's all clean now. Too bad, cuz we could've use more stuff we find when we clean.

Capt'n's log - Feb 5th, 2601

Yet another small blip on the radar, it's got teeth this one.. sent the Bonny back runnin' again. Then a tinsy one that's almost too fast t'catch. But da Runts modded the charger to shoot far, and we got it! TO BATTLE!!

One armored guy spotted as our second scout gets out the craft. Too far to properly handle, too close for comfort. Hum.. We hide behind a cloud of smoke and hope he comes closer, or goes away.

The plan worked! He got closer and now we can get 'im! After a few softening shots from Boltgun, a cattleprod hit from Cutlass brings him back sleeping to the hideout. Already got an emergency appointement with a Brainer.

Brainer came back with a leather black suit, for some ops! Lookin' good, if a bit hard to breathe in. I guess it's better than breatin' in smoke.. We're making a few.

Scrambled the Bonny at the largest blip yet, flying spider?! crazy stuff... We're not touching that one!

Capt'n's log - Feb 11, 2601

Another distress signal, midnight landin' in a nice lookin' resort. What's wrong with these people and holidays? Houses are crawlin' with 'em! Saved a few mutants, lost a hand, kill'd em all! Take that haters!

Sold their crap and hired a few guns n' runts, and a brainer. Time to step this operation up a bit.

Capt'n's log - Feb 15th, 2601

Got the report on those security guys.. not wimps.. Now we know what we're up against, just have to figure out what to do! Sent back the brainerz to work on factions, rifle bullets and Spartan booty. Couldn't see 'em all that well, maybe we can use that.

Capt'n's log - Feb 16, 2601

Shippin' in sight! All on board! Too bad we've still got wounded gals and can't fill up the Bonny. We follow them in the dark to their landing spot, and anchor nearby. Striking at dawn!

An aggressive landing strategy yields very good results as we manage to overcome the greeting party and bag an academician to bring back and interrogate. Crazy Iva got a bit trigger happy breaching the craft and killed another academician that could've been captured. Oh well.. Didn't even get to try her new spiked mace..

Capt'n's log - Feb 18, 2601

Went through the gals field gear. Turns out we've got a new name stickin'.. but I ain't sure it's a good thing.. Junkie Nickie! joins Die-Anna as a flamey gal, and we just got a new target to try her out.

Aggressive landing again, and Junkie Nicky is first outta the Bonny, frying the first guys she sees. A few step away from the shippin's door and she narrowly escapes a harpoon bolt. The offender is taken out neatly by two arrows.

Meanwhile Die-Anna checks the craft and tries to handle another guy, which is managed with some help. Cutlass Jo and Crazy Iva try to deal with an armored dude, but no hits Iva's new spiked mace leaves him standing, until a hammer smashes him to da floor!

A big fight erupts in an orchard, 3 guys, one armored, against every gal in the front of the Bonny. 3-1 for the gals: 1 dead, 2 hostages and one of ours wounded, lightly after using lots of  bandages. Loot of da day: Another sniper rifle! Now we just gotta wait until the runts can make bullets!

Selling all the excess loot we got nets us 800k! Time for some investment.. hum.. what to do..?!

Just curious, where did you find the spider ship? I am aware such a map exists, but not in Piratez. Or is it some mod?

I'm not 100% sure what it was, but I suspect it was part of a retaliation run? I don't have anything else enabled than Piratez, so it's not from a mod (although YetMoreUFOs had it as well).

As the log said, I wasn't going to try to crash it, and it didn't do me the courtesy of landing, so I don't know much about it.. There should be a way to "dig" in the ruleset and find which shippin' has the picture, or just ask Dioxine :P

It's been getting full here, with 21 gals, 25 runts and 4 brainers. So we're making another barracks. We'll sit on the rest of tha money for now, it's good to have a cushion to sit on.. but I can't say coins are all that comfy.. maybe I'll put 'em back in the bank.

And today we've got a better idea of the big picture: Who's who? Traders, Teachers, Preachers, Muscles, Star Gods and government. And we've got a call from the Mutant Alliance. I guess they noticed we stood up for 'em muties! Now we're gonna return the call and see what good they can do for us!

Da brainer got a better look at all that techie stuff them Teachers travel around with. Fancy stuff.. Nothin' useful yet. Moar research! That's what the brainerz always say. Decided we'd talk to one of 'em and see what they can tell about their stuff now.

Shippiin' in SIIIGHT!! Bit of a bigger one, this time, and we land next to a shedload of people. Luckily, we've got the fireworks ready! Everybody misses the barn and hits their target, that's da kind of start we likes!

The whole crew makes their way through a large orchard to the landed ship. After some hesitation as to where the door even is, the gals get in. Stunning the targets doesn't go so well. One swabbie gets filled with laser pistol holes and Cutlass Jo panics after getting hit a few times. She runs out of the craft to everyone's laughter. A bit of bandaging and she's good as new. Crazy Iva steps in and gets the job done: 2 hostages taken, one engineer, one medic. I bet they'll have things to say!

Meanwhile, Bolt Gun circles the ship and finds a lone security gard bolting(!) for it. After 4 boarding gun hits, the guy is still standin', until Die-Anna comes and fries him to a crisp!

Total profit on that run: 1.16 MILLIONS!! We're almost swimmin' in money here! And we gotta build some more vaults.. otherwise there will only be credits in the harpies' hoard!

And a workshop.. never enough grog around here...

Feb 26th, 2601

Another shipping, another great run by the gals. Once more, Crazy Iva saves the day, this time unloading every barrel of her blunderbuss to finish off a security guard in front of a bunch of exausted gals. Bagged this time: 1 Academician and 1.. medic. Too bad their engineer ran away. And another million in da bank!

And.. another million outta da bank as we start building a large vault. No more arguing with da runts sayin' they can't cram more loot in the nest every time we come back.

Feb 27th, 2601

Another shippin', another dawn assault. But this one's weird.. da land is all.. grey.. everywhere. Creepy.. And this strike isn't as much of a success. Bolt Gun takes out a security dude with one shot of her boarding gun, but for some reason, all the other ones just don't go down. 7 gals to take 1 down when getting off the Bonny, then Cutlass Jo and 6 more can't get the job done on another one! One grenade later, we are a gal down. All that for an engineer hostage..

Coincidently, one brainer reported on studying this new camo idea, so we can hide better while wearing snazzy new green suits. Runts are working on making a bunch of 'em.

What a start of a month.. We got some moneys from the places we helped, but it ain't much.. Better keep the booze and booty flowin'!

Shippin' in sight! Just a runabout. Flawless landing but we get greedy. Bag 3 academicians, but at the cost of Cutlass Jo, Bolt Gun and Nicky all having to take some time off.. Enjoy the bar gals!

We're getting a puppy!!! Well.. hum hum.. a "professionally trained attack dog", courtesy of our new Mutant Alliance buddies. But there's already a line-up of gals waitin' to be "puppy trainer", so we better get a few more once we've got the space for more kennels!

Scared some tiny blip off last night.. too bad we didn't manage to bring it in the laser's sight fast enough.. But t'day we've got some new rooms! 3 more gals comin' in to replace the wounded, 2 more brainers to make sense of all the booty, and 15 runts to make booze. This place is gonna be crawlin' soon!

Got another barracks goin' free to use for when the workshop comes online next month, and the brainerz figured out how t'make sniper rifle bullets now! We've got our sharp-eye rifles figured out, and the swabbies can train with the scoped rifles.

And we got a fancy ship flying by. Landed not too far from the nest. Big two-stories version of the normal ships. The puppy is all eager to sniff it out.

Da puppy was so cuute! Who's the cutest? er.. huhum.. Da attack dog performed its job admirably and sniffed out a VIP trying to run away from the bright blue shippin'. Crazy Iva handled that one really well, and an engineer too! A good run f'sure!

March 11th, 2601

A full taskforce of 6 brainerz finally cracked da Aye-phone. On one vocal "Aye?" command, da phone taps in the local gizmos and finds the waves they emit. Since gadgets always update the location of their owner, we can know it too now! Watch it land lubbers! WE'RE WATCHING!

It's time to make some progress on the battlefield tech again.. been too long just salvaging stuff. Brainerz are now tasked with coming up with a new armor and new gun, we'll see what they figure out.

And since we figured out how to make better bullets, we're taking all our sniper rifles for the good shots, and a bunch of huntin' rifles for the bad ones. It's gonna be rainin' bullets, Precision bullets! And making 'nother blunderbuss for Crazy Iva, she will play it "Up Close and Personal"!

March 14th, 2601

Distress beacon popped up! Da Golden Haven be under attack! Good thing most of da good gals are back from their holiday. Just Bolt Gun who's stayin' in bed for about a month more.. Cutlass Joe will be leading the charge, Die-Anna's takin' over with da boardin' gun, Crazy and Charmin are manning da blunderbusses, and Nicky's burnin' stuff. To battle!!

The bonny flies all night long, we strike at dawn! Landing is.. not great. Bunch of little munchkin with gunz and a tank on wheels, straight up for the start. Cutlass is the first one out, and shows them what a tactical vest is made of! She takes the shots and throws a bomb at the nearest to rascals. BOOM! gone! Lots of fire on da tank, a bomb and a bunch of dynamite finally brings it down.

Charmin' is first entering the nearest building, kills one, immediately followed by Crazy Iva who gets another. The blunderbuss gals are on a roll! A fancy cloaked munchkin walks in, shoots Iva 5 times, misses three and between her fancy camo dress and iron chest, barely any damage done.

The noise of all the shooting beyond the smoke screen, and cries of poor mutants getting slaughtered is unsettling, but Crazy Iva leads the renewal of the attack, brandishing a handle and cracking the skull of the.. Ratman mob lieutenant. Rummaging through his bag shows a newspaper without enough pictures. Brainers'll figure it out later! With good shots and lots of boom, ratses, bullies and buggies are taken out and a few fellows are saved, better than nothin'..! One day we'll stop 'em killing muties!

On da way to da nest, Charmin' says we needs to r'view the gals. Sounds like a good idea t'me! We'll do an update by da end of da month. Should see what da gals want to field too..!

Die Anna loves fire and everything that explodes. Best both at the same time, but she's not into being flamethrower sucide trooper, though! :) She dislikes armor which has shitty fire resistance, so Guerilla is a no-no. Tac vest is perfectly fine.

Electronics, forbidden fancy stuff that we might find in rare things like integrated devices and use to make to make all kinds of things.. that we don't know yet about..

Maybe they'll come up with something we can use eventually. For now, one of da brainers is looking into vodka to keep the spirits up (HA!) and another runty dude says he's a GO, whatever that means.

'Nother team of brainerz got somethin' and this time it's even useful! They got us some new stuff to wear in battle, a warrior suit. Looks heavy.. but it sure looks tough. Good for the gals who don't need to run much, but still get close enough to get shot.

More breakthrough! or.. dunno. Now every gal wants to read da mutant picture book and we've got a few three armed people movin' in.. for research.. They should work well as runts too.. especially now that we've got a brand new big vault finished, we'll need some extra hands to handle the hoard.

Got the monthly reports from the locals. Looks pretty good! Pretty much everyone's happy and we'll make a (tiny bit) more money! We're filling up the lab with brainerz now, and getting some more runts for the new workshop.

Also got the ratman Crazy Iva caught to squeek finally. Little guy tried to scare us with reprisal if we harmed him. Didn't work! Now we know a bit more about 'em ratmen mafia. What a weird bunch.. too small to be propa pirates, but I guess they be tryin'!

And the brainerz finally understand what that engineer was talking about. Maybe they'll make something good from it eventually. Now they're trying to figure out hyperwaves. Maybe we can watch the waves and find the ship that makes 'em!

Haha! In da middle of tha 3-months gals review, we got some shippin'!! Time for action! But after scramblin' and chasin' to South Africa for a while, shippin's too fast and nothing.. April Fool's! Morale's low, we'll finish the inspection when Charmin' and Boltgun are fully up, in 6 days.

And now a report on personal armor parts, we've got some rumors on advanced weapons, and the runts figured out how to make vests from parts. Not too bad.. but we can buy them new, so we'll keep doin' that! Parts are hard to come by. Couldn't they just chop up some vests? hum..

New brainerz and runts have arrived, set 'em to work asap. Brainerz gonna work on waves and interrogations of a bunch of toughs we've got, spartans and a highwayman. Maybe they'll tell us amount some snazzy guns too. And then we won't need to feed 'em anymore! Runts are workin' on booze, what else?

Also built a new barracks, it's getting cramped here.. And the gals REALLY need some action..

And we've got some results already! Breakthrough on hyperwaves, and a spy zeppelin proposal. Totally goin' for that! Zeppelins should be able to fly for a while and they look like nothin'. Then we can find them damn shippin hiding halfway around the planet!

April 7th, 2601
Yet another shippin' zipping by without stopping. Morale is dropping now.. But the radarunts find another one, and it's all out on the attack! Shippin' crashes and burns and out the gals go, thirsting for blood! Poor whatever it's gonna be..

Out da door, we see.. a dude in combat gear? Like a helmet's gonna save 'im. But what's it? They issued GOs with armor now?! Puppy jumps out at one shout from Charmin' and spots a hostess. Definitely Traders!

Head Shot! The armored GO is taken down by a sniper, and warriors carefully fan out towards the hostess. A security guy sneaks around a hill and gets a machine gun shot on Die-Anna in her fancy new warrior suit. Barely hurt once it's dressed properly.

Another armored GO falls to a hunting round in the face after his helmets saves him from a sniper shot and the puppy finds an engineer roaming in the hills. Charming smothers him with a smoke grenade and moves in with Die-Anna and Nickie, with some other gals for support.

Nothing else is seen and the gals are getting jumpy. Time to move into the ship and clean things up!

Ship's pretty clean already.. and we get past the intact engine room (woohoo!!) The warriors converge on the isolated engineer and, after a bit of handling by Charming and Junkie, Die-Anna whips out the cattle prod and zaps him. Shortly after, the first gal jumps at a noise in the smoke. Really time to end this.

Crazy Iva spots two hostiles with her Aye-Phone and Cutlass Jo leads the breach. One signal drops, but the attacks proceeds and Jo is faced with not one, not two, but three hostiles: 2 security guards and a GO, luckily all looking at their instruments. 3 cutlass hits to the back and one drops. Two to go..

Boltgun, despite the heavy encumbrance of her warrior suit, follows in and unloads an auto-shot of her boardin' gun onto the GO. One more to go, who is taken out by a swift Fuso sword strike. Clean victory! and Die-Anna will be recovering in only two days.

And now a report on personal armor parts, we've got some rumors on advanced weapons, and the runts figured out how to make vests from parts. Not too bad.. but we can buy them new, so we'll keep doin' that! Parts are hard to come by. Couldn't they just chop up some vests? hum..

New brainerz and runts have arrived, set 'em to work asap. Brainerz gonna work on waves and interrogations of a bunch of toughs we've got, spartans and a highwayman. Maybe they'll tell us amount some snazzy guns too. And then we won't need to feed 'em anymore! Runts are workin' on booze, what else?

Also built a new barracks, it's getting cramped here.. And the gals REALLY need some action..

April 5th, 2601
And we've got some results already! Breakthrough on hyperwaves, and a spy zeppelin proposal. Totally goin' for that! Zeppelins should be able to fly for a while and they look like nothin'. Then we can find them damn shippin hiding halfway around the planet!

April 7th, 2601
Yet another shippin' zipping by without stopping. Morale is dropping now.. But the radarunts find another one, and it's all out on the attack! Shippin' crashes and burns and out the gals go, thirsting for blood! Poor whatever it's gonna be..

Out da door, we see.. a dude in combat gear? Like a helmet's gonna save 'im. But what's it? They issued GOs with armor now?! Puppy jumps out at one shout from Charmin' and spots a hostess. Definitely Traders!

Head Shot! The armored GO is taken down by a sniper, and warriors carefully fan out towards the hostess. A security guy sneaks around a hill and gets a machine gun shot on Die-Anna in her fancy new warrior suit. Barely hurt once it's dressed properly.

Another armored GO falls to a hunting round in the face after his helmets saves him from a sniper shot and the puppy finds an engineer roaming in the hills. Charming smothers him with a smoke grenade and moves in with Die-Anna and Nickie, with some other gals for support.

Nothing else is seen and the gals are getting jumpy. Time to move into the ship and clean things up!

Ship's pretty clean already.. and we get past the intact engine room (woohoo!!) The warriors converge on the isolated engineer and, after a bit of handling by Charming and Junkie, Die-Anna whips out the cattle prod and zaps him. Shortly after, the first gal jumps at a noise in the smoke. Really time to end this.

Crazy Iva spots two hostiles with her Aye-Phone and Cutlass Jo leads the breach. One signal drops, but the attacks proceeds and Jo is faced with not one, not two, but three hostiles: 2 security guards and a GO, luckily all looking at their instruments. 3 cutlass hits to the back and one drops. Two to go..

Boltgun, in her heavy warrior suit, follows in and unloads an auto-shot of her boardin' gun onto the GO. One more to go, who is taken out by a swift Fuso sword strike. Clean victory! and Die-Anna will be recovering in only two days.

And the newer gals! I'm already a fair bit ahead in my playthrough, so I won't be able to tweak things just yet.. But hopefully that gear setup worked for you! In the June review, you'll see a LOT of improvement (not gear wise, our research really stagnates for some reason.. but stat wise.. wow!)
