Title: Adding atmospheric music
Post by: Yann on February 13, 2023, 10:48:05 pm
Hi all,

I like to add new music to the game to make the experience even more atmospheric. I really enjoy the music that for example the X-Com Files mod adds to the game. Have any of you added your own favorite tracks to the game? And if so, would you share a link to that track?

I have added these two tracks from Fallout 1 to the game, which IMO work perfectly for the geoscape but also for several battlescape maps, like industrial city maps:

Metallic Monks:
Mysterious and eerie.

Vats of Goo:
Mysterious and ominous.

I like to use these two Doom tracks for several types of battlescape maps. They might seem like weird choices but they work well for me:

Monster Condo:
Hypnotic droning foreboding.

The Healer Stalks:
Lighthearted and kind of witty, but surprisingly effective for daytime (city) maps.

Any feedback about what kind of music you like to add is welcome!

Another great atmospheric track for the battlescape!
By Trent Reznor for the original Quake game.
