Title: MISSING @ A VERY HIGH PERCENTAGE
Post by: SIMON BAILIE on June 01, 2018, 10:09:46 pm
In my run through of FMP v2.0b I have missed this Sectoid 3 times in a row, why when the chance is 194% and they are both on the same height level?

First, the number is not in percent... it's just 194, not 194%.

Second, maximum effective accuracy is 110... there is no difference between 110 and 194.

Third, maximum effective accuracy doesn't guarantee a hit... it's just smallest deviation... but can still miss, especially when the trajectory is very "fragile" with many obstacles along the ideal path.

... just move to a different position and try again.... don't try from the same spot again, you will continue missing.

Yes, some shots can't hit. You just have to move to a different position. Pro tip: an orthogonal shot with no obstacles is always capable of hitting. It is certain angles which don't hit.
