Something that's come up during the Caturday run is how Cat Path has very early access to the Claw fighter, which is suitable for engaging endgame-tier UFOs. The Claw is singlehandedly carrying the airgame, to the point where other non-Claw fighter techs can be safely de-prioritized. Cat Path seems like it would benefit from a downgraded-Claw type fighter, similar to H-K or Predator, to fill the spot where Claw is now while moving Claw later.

This is mostly random. This event starts in the 2nd year, with 3% chance per month, and if you are on the Cat Path then you get another 7% chance each month.
So in other words, someone got lucky.

OK, so assuming you also have the Hyper-Wave Decoder researched, you should just wait for the new mission to spawn. 50% chance per month.

I don't know about any mods, but I'm pretty sure in the base game it takes a straight 15tu without regard for where you're pulling the ammo from.

Thank you!

In the base game yes, but XCF indeed has variable costs for moving equipment between slots. This applies to loading as well.

But Cavemen aren't random civilians, hi-tech or even modern tech isn't their vibe. Dinosaur riding is where it's at.

You're right, but forbidding the Dragonfly would feel a bit too mean.

I suppose the easiest way to "fix" this, if anything is needed at all, would be to replace the craft with spawn tiles - if that works for that specific kind of mission. Then you can just explain this so that some vehicle dropped them nearby to avoid detection and they just walked on the mission site. The only a little bit shady aspect with that might be how they carried the huge loot pile on the site...

I've just had the same idea as I was replying to Juku. :) Maybe indeed it's the best option...

If the game gets new Geoscape options, then I might reconsider. But to be honest, I don't feel very motivated to do so, since I don't think it would impact the gameplay much, and the amount of work needed to do this would be substantial.

Why are you all afraid of the hybrid globe? Do you have a phobia of water?

Yes, we are both dirty pigs and love rolling in the dirt.
Are you trying to get kicked out or what?

If you must know, I didn't go that way for two reasons:
1) UFOs crashing into the ocean create a lot of problems, mostly related to the fact that crews would die and you'd get most of the craft intact. And I didn't want to get into making underwater versions of all enemies (both for design reasons and required work intensity).
2) With the Geoscape palette we have, ocean textures just don't look good.

@Solarius Schorch , Updating from 3.2 to 3.3 do i need to change something or just drop save files? :)

Just drop. :)

So, troopers were disguised as cavemen but kind of forgot to disguise the giant mental bird? (3.2)

Yeah, in the X-Com Files universe, the Dragonfly is somehow considered a normal, if rare, civilian craft. Basically a fancier helicopter.

So, in other words, you are asking for mission sites instead of landing sites?

Yes; I want to keep the general UFO behaviour (it flies, it lands, it takes off), but mission sites offer additional options which landing sites do not.

Should it be the original landing UFO (hidden during the duration of the mission), or should it be a completely new auto-magically repaired, restocked and remanned UFO (in worst case even a new UFO type)?

Anything will be helpful, really. I guess recreating the original UFO (with its damage etc.) would indeed be the simplest and least problematic way.

I can imagine an option to spawn brand-new UFOs from mission sites being useful, but I don't have any specific plans for using that myself.

Moved the Enforcer discussion to a new thread.

A small typo in the "soldierBonuses_XCOMFILES.rul" file for the bonus "STR_MEDAL_TASEMASTER_5".

Oops...

I already destroyed MiB lunar base. No retaliation missions. Just very rare sectoid saucers.

On this mission you (hopefully) got the MiB Master Log. Research it to progress.

If you don't have it, well, you need to replay the Moon mission with MiB.

No. They're not coded at this moment.

new Polish names?

Leszek Bobrowski   :o

Totally not intended, but I actually know this person. ;D
Unrelated to the recent changes, though.

But this is not the case. In all respects, an enforcer is much worse than a Spartan trainee. But apart from the parameters, the enforcer does not know how to throw, does not know how to melee, and worst of all, does not know how to restore energy.

You're literally the only person on the planet who has ever expressed disagreement. :D
In all seriousness, I'm not that convinced either, but this is the community's consensus.

Is it intentional that the Syndicate Dragonfly crafts are armed? That came as a surprise to me because the x-com ones do not have weapons pods.

Yeah, the Syndicate is evil and puts weapons on a perfectly benign Toyota Hilux aircraft.

All the more reason to shoot them!
