The X-Com Files / Tactical penetration

Tell me what things can make a hole in the UFO? I know that a plasma cutter can do this, but it’s still far from it, I opened the laser cutter and thought that now I can surprise the aliens, but it seems not (((

ahh sorry. went into the original openxcom. Any ships are sent to missions only fighter jets fly and return.

For some reason I thought that earlier only land transport could be sent to ground missions. Apparently confused with another game. Upset. It’s very hemorrhaging to scroll through the list and find the right ship. Especially getting tired after 500 UFOs ...

Tell me how to edit files so that vehicles can fly to ground missions, and fighters to UFOs. When there are a lot of bases and planes it’s very difficult to navigate a large list

Can you tell me how to pull out the handcuffs?
Probably after the release of the new version I will have to start a new game, I don’t really want to ...

Well, let's say I found a mod, but I have no idea how to adapt it to the current game.

I damn very much want to have confidence that the enemy whom I neutralized will not be able to stand up.
Tactically and systematically clear enemies without fear of a knife in the back and the need to search for escaped at the end of the mission.
Very important in large locations with many small rooms

Well, not bad.
Let's say the weapon has a damage range of 0-100.
0-50 - small damage?
50-100 - big damage?
That is, this "hit" is tied to a weapon, or after a certain number of all weapons will have a lot of damage?

Is there an opportunity in the game to see the damage done in units? Exactly how much was done during the attack, not the expected damage.

There are times when I shoot and hit, but apparently I do not cause damage. I’m frustrated by the ignorance of how much damage I did

The X-Com Files / Mechanics of morality
« on: May 16, 2020, 05:10:49 pm »
Tell me tactics for capturing enemies through surrender. I read in the next topic that it is necessary to destroy high-ranking enemies does this undermine the morale of enemies below rank or only the weakest?
I also read that it is necessary to kill one high-ranking of each type is this true? I mean, if I say I kill two of the same type, the sum of morality will add up? How does the mechanics of morality work ...

The X-Com Files / Idea for mission
« on: May 15, 2020, 08:53:48 pm »
I play and suddenly the mission is at the North Pole, I fly in, and there is "Thing". Awesome reference. Maybe you should do something similar with a predator? An unknown signal, disembark, corpses without skin around and a predator with imba characteristics capable of destroying the entire team. After the battle, give a spear, disk, or plasma gun as a trophy. (In general, predators have many interesting weapons for close combat)
You can do several similar missions. Let them be rare, with a good unique reward.

Does the game have the ability to completely neutralize the enemy after stunning? Something like handcuffs?
