Before I start a new game for realz I would like to test all the codex options before I really go for it. How do I do that with my current save file? Thanks!
-
Edit your savegame with any text editor and change value in lines:
STR_TINY_DRILL: 1
STR_MENACING_HULL: 1
to
STR_TINY_DRILL: 4
STR_MENACING_HULL: 4
This will give you 4 Tiny drills and hulls, so you can use each on a different codex.

..so easy, so damn easy.. ;D :p
(..or, eventuallly even more, instead of "4" write there any bigger number.. (for example "8" , so you get, if i´m correct, 2 or 4 from each those "speacial weapons, and extra, elite, top stuffs.. )
-
Thanks guys. Going to give it an ironman run through now!
-
You probably shouldn't play ironman, especially if you're trying to do something that's probably going to cause extra bugs.
-
..but arent they (at least 2 of them) "mutually exclusive" ? ?!
( ~~ if you get the one Codex, you cant get some other, specifically.. )
yu get .."Red, --~~> cant get Green, ..and so on..
-
Yes, they disable one another. Dioxine seems to be keen on "choices and consequences". Still trivial to mod away.
-
@Martin ..and how you can mod this *mutually exclusivity" away, (off ? ?
how could you disable that mutually-excliusivity off ?
( - to avalaible getting all of them, all 4 Codexes alltogehter, (parallelly)

Open piratez.rul in text editor
Search for codex projects (- name: STR_ CODEX_ GOLD etc.)
Delete references to other codides in "disables:" section of the entry
I never tested it but I am fairly sure it should work. If it doesn’t chekc dependencies. You can even add the reference top otehr codices under "getOneFree:" section, this should lock you to single Menace class but give you access to all the voodoo.

thx, mercii,
as i remember, few versions (releases) before, thias mutually-exclusivity still wasnt implemented yet, before
-
Thanks again guys! Just playing on supermutant mode! Decisions you make have real weight now!

Do I have to edit anything for research items that need things like "anything but red" etc?
-
not that im aware of, not that i know the tree 100%

No. Those techs are (as of now) only there to make the dependency trees more readable.
