Title: [Question] How do markers work with submods?
Post by: Juku121 on August 06, 2023, 01:38:12 am
I don't really understand this (https://openxcom.org/forum/index.php/topic,10598.msg156909.html#msg156909). If I override the globe marker file in a submod, all existing custom markers get invalidated and don't take the new images corresponding to old indexes?

I remember adding a new marker back in May (for the new Sleep Wave Emitter Assault mission), so the total number has changed.
Perhaps this is the issue? Your old version of the mod had less markers than required?

No, that's what makes it strange. The marker file is the same as the old version's, and in any case it's something like thrice the size of yours even now. Adding/removing a new submod marker to the Sleep Wave Emitter mission that's on the map in the problematic save is what makes the difference.
