Title: Deploy Multiple Attack Interceptors or Wingmen Attack
Post by: Quickmind on August 21, 2023, 11:37:42 pm
I had recently been made aware that it was possible to deploy a craft with wingmen immediately from a base. However, when intercepting a target, the wingmen do not engage. They have to be manually set to target the enemy. Is there a way to implement a feature similar to deploying wingmen (holding shift and selecting 3 interceptors before selecting the lead craft) and have all craft attack as if they had all been separately deployed? This would allow for a much higher QoL when playing mods with many interceptions. Or, could escorting craft engage in non-defensive fights automatically, or implement a toggle for such a feature?

From my experience, wingmen do engage the enemy. Make sure that the slowest craft is the one leading the attack, and the others escort the leader.

Escorting crafts only engage if the UFO is attacking. But if the escorted craft does the attack and the UFO keeps flying, the other crafts do not do anything.

Indeed it would be a good QoL if there was a way to select multiple craft to launch simultaneous attacks. Currently I send them escorted and then after they launch I select each of them pressing "I"  and select the UFO to attack.
