If you want, you can simply copy the file HitFX-basic.rul from the current version of XCF to your ancient one. It will enable hit flashing.

Cool, I did not know that. Anyway, I played this older version of the game for an hour or two. it was interesting to compare it to the current version of the game. I prefer the newest version with some submods.

Thanks, that first link was perfect and it has oxce+ included. I only had to add the usual copyrighted files and then it ran.

Man I tried out this old version of the game and it feels strange to not see enemies fishing red when hit and there is no melee attacks

I really like this mod, especially the first part before the alien invasion. I would love to extend it for another couple of years...
From time to time I return to the game, and sometimes I look at some things with a different perspective.
I understand that you have a lot of work to do, but perhaps someday you will want to give these dossiers more meaning, because this is a very good start to something more significant.

you can get natasha morozova sub mod for xcom files, that way you are given some hero units to your game that has some special abilities. the hero units are from the dossier

Sorry for the late reply, been occupied with other things. yes there were explosion in that battle and I won it. So far I am aware of items being scattered around in the hangar did not happen to me. (a previous playthrough without the facility expansion pack mod enabeled.)

The UAC 4x hangar has 50 storage and when I was attacked in battlescape much of my precious items were scattered all over the ground in the hangar. after the battle I lost quite valuabe items. is this intentional to have the game this way?

I have the mod a version form 2019 but hobbes kindly asked for the game to not be shared for some reason and not downloadable. Area 51 mod wont work with the new nightly. I had to use a older version from my old gaming pc.

The fix dosent seem to workthe game still crashes with this mod enabeled, I have looked into the file and it has Underwater power suit in it but the armours have# symbol in it, I think it measn to diable., I also removed the ones with # and the game still crashes

Never mind I made it owrk by deleating the backup file,

thanks for the quick fix

This mod crashes with the new Xcomfiles update a fix would be much appreciated

Can you make cult weaponboxes buyable at the end of warehouse raids, I have a run where I would love to have some of the submods guns but they are not avalible to me yet because they are not discovered, in one of my old runs I want to have the Fg42 rifle and m16-50 grendel but I have defeated all the cults and have yet to discover thosoe wepaons.

this is a sub mod made by solarius, here the mongorns attack the player like zombies do.
