Future Development Plan
This post contains my current points i will be working, a new version release will be made inbetween.
I update as I go, fulfilled points are marked with "DONE".

Screenshots and progress reports are usually left in General Feedback Thread

Current development plan:

1.) Upgrade Alien Base Maps:
  • Finish turned versions for maps - Only Alien Gardens are missing - DONE
  • Upgrade Mapscript and block occurancy rates - DONE

2.) Add Support Drones
  • Fix Alloy Drone Scouts Corpse Sprites - DONE
  • Add Drone Integration and Research - DONE
  • Rework early game Research - DONE
  • Add Manufacture / Repair - DONE
  • Add Drone Upgrade Manufactures - DONE

3.) Add Skystriker (Improved Skyranger):
  • Finish Slidedoor Graphic - DONE, but only one side; should suffice
  • Finish Backwards stairs Graphic - Not needed
  • UFOpaedia Graphic - DONE, big thanks to Bloax from the IRC for the awesome picture!!!
  • BaseScreen Graphic - DONE
  • Interception Icons - DONE
  • Generate Proper MCD File - DONE
  • Integration, Research and Manufacture - DONE

5.) Rework Ship Attack and Docked Ship Maps:
  • Recheck Maps, fix Routes - DONE
  • Fix Minimap Data (Scangs) - Not Really possible - DONE
  • Turn THUNDER Map by 90 degree, to allow craft spawn on CRUISE LINER - THUNDER turned Fixed Craftspawn on CARGOSHIP, but CRUISE LINER stays as is

6.) Alien Command Ship:
  • Finish Map Variants
  • Rework Routes and alienDeployment
  • Finish UFOPaedia Graphic
  • Add Special Missions for Story Items initiad by Alien Command Ship

7.) Upgrade Terrain Pack:
I have already fixed a big portion of the globe terrains and the bugs i found in them.
There is still a lot todo and Hobbes, responds barely towards my fixes :-/
Guess I have my own bugfixed and integrated version then.

  • Rework Mapscripts for 20x20 block occurance rate on different maps sizes - DONE
  • Integrate Civilians
  • Integrate Armed Civilians
  • Integrate New Globe and Textures
  • Add New Globe Terrains (There are only 1 or 2 missing)
  • Overwork destructibility of Terror Terrains
  • Readjust Globe City destribution and numbers
  • Fix Minimap Data, alias Scangs data on several terrains (need to compile list) - Only partially possible due to engine limitations

There will be a exclusion of some Maps from the terrain pack, like Alien hive for the time being, since the Map design is kinda not fitting with the general vanilla layouts and need to be redesigned (4 or 5 level maps with underground and poorly designed tunnels etc..), better make this a seperate 2 stage mission.

8.) Add Expanded Mars Terrain
  • Add 20x20 Mapblocks
  • Add 30x30 Mapblock (Pyramid of Pain)
  • Rework Mapscript

9.) Further Future changes and additions:
  • Collect and integrate lost Maps or abandoned maps for more variety
  • Add properly turned Maps to all Terrain Pack Terrains, starting with Globe Terrains (Grassland, Savanna, Tundra etc...)
  • Add and Integrate Commendations Mod - DONE
  • Other things neccessary

Feedback and Change requests will be put in between those, as I see fit, or they to do fit in general.
If there is something missing or you wanna add stuff please feel free to post, any form of suggestions or feedback of any kind is also really appreciated.

EDIT: I am not the fastest of modders, but my stuff tends to be mostly bugfree, so patience sometimes pays off. Well i am also a perfectionist :D
