It would be super handy to be able to switch bases inside research/production screen. For example going to base 1 research and pressing '2' would take you straight to research screen of base 2 (if there are no research facilities in base 2 it would do nothing). Same for production.
Maybe other stuff as well? Like storage/prison?

You can change bases via global overview GUIs.

For example, if you are in research, press C, then select a base.

In manufacture, press P, then select a base.

In alien containment, press J.

Oh cool, I was not aware the overview hotkeys worked like that. I thought they were for geoscape only. Thanks.

Though on a second thought if a base finished all its research you would not be able to go to it that way since there would be nothing to click on.
Maybe modify the overview to always show base name of any base that have capacity? Like if a base has any labs built but nothing going on it would still show up in overview as viable to click on?

Cool feature. I like it.
However, I don't see any mean to go back to the list when, say, I want to make changes in one base and then in another.

There are no buttons, only hotkeys.

C for research
P for manufacture
J for alien containment

or if you changed them in the settings, they will be different

Oh, I see now. Pressing "C" again takes it back to the global research list. Thank you.

I'm still learning of new handy hotkeys and tricks. Too bad it's rather difficult for the players to find out everything they could use.

https://www.ufopaedia.org/index.php/Hidden_Features_(OpenXcom) has been a good resource so far - it includes a lot of hidden gems many players do not know - but its focus is on geoscape and battlescape, no word is said about basescape. Yet even that does not include this information, and I suppose there are more. I suppose there isn't any OXCE reference for all the features and the URL I mentioned above is the best general documentation we currently have?

1/ Absolutely everything that has ever been done in OXCE is available at github: https://github.com/MeridianOXC/OpenXcom/
Time to read: 2 years

2/ Vast majority of features I have added are described on this forum (including this feature, obviously): https://openxcom.org/forum/index.php/board,22.0.html
Time to read: few months

3/ There's a changelog to help navigate the forum: https://openxcom.org/forum/index.php/topic,11059.0.html
Time to read (just headlines): several hours

4/ There's a fan-based sticky hotkey documentation: https://openxcom.org/forum/index.php/topic,6424.0.html
Time to read: 15 minutes

Pick your poison; or create a new one.

Nice list. Thank you.

"See armour information (Middle click, most items bootypedia entries can be seen like this, works in most menus)"
This one does show the name and hands but no body. What do I do wrong?
